Northern France, or more precisely Ille-et-Vilaine in beautiful Brittany, is a very special place in itself. But when two people like Edda & Darwin celebrate their love here, it becomes something even greater. The couple chose the Château de Brossay for their wedding weekend—an impressive castle that they lovingly transformed into their venue themselves.
Frankreichs Norden, genauer gesagt Ille-et-Vilaine in der wunderschönen Bretagne, ist schon für sich ein ganz besonderer Ort. Doch wenn zwei Menschen wie Edda & Darwin genau hier ihre Liebe feiern, wird daraus etwas noch Größeres. Die beiden haben für ihr Wedding Weekend das Château de Brossay gewählt – ein beeindruckendes Schloss, das sie mit viel Herzblut selbst zu ihrer Location gemacht haben.
Getting Ready im Chateau
The first guests arrived on Friday and were able to soak up the special atmosphere of the Château de Brossay. For us, Saturday began with Edda and Darwin getting ready: Darwin was relaxed and at ease, while Edda's royal room was filled with a loving, excited commotion. Seeing how everyone helped and how Edda finally stood in front of the large window in her dress was one of those goosebump-inducing moments.
Schon am Freitag kamen die ersten Gäste an und konnten die besondere Atmosphäre des Château de Brossay spüren. Für uns begann der Samstag mit dem Getting Ready von Edda & Darwin: Bei Darwin war die Stimmung locker und entspannt, während bei Edda im royalen Zimmer ein liebevolles, aufgeregtes Durcheinander herrschte. Zu sehen, wie alle mithalfen und wie Edda schließlich in ihrem Kleid vor dem großen Fenster stand, war einer dieser Gänsehaut-Momente.
A very emotional ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place right in front of the castle, so the location was always present. The couple exchanged personal vows—and after nine years together, it was immediately apparent how much trust, friendship, and love lay behind them. Not only were their guests moved, but we behind the camera also noticed how special this moment was.
Die Trauung fand direkt vor dem Schloss statt, sodass die Location immer präsent war. Die beiden haben sich persönliche Vows gesagt – und nach neun Jahren Beziehung war sofort spürbar, wie viel Vertrauen, Freundschaft und Liebe dahintersteckt. Nicht nur ihre Gäste waren berührt, sondern auch wir hinter der Kamera haben gemerkt, wie besonders dieser Moment war.
Dinner and a special evening
After the wedding ceremony, there was a relaxed dinner reception with drinks right next to the château. For dinner, everyone sat at two long tables, set with great attention to detail. The menu was exceptional and just right for the day. For dessert, there was a huge summer fruit cake, which was perfect for this warm July evening.
Nach der Trauung gab es eine entspannte Rezeption mit Drinks direkt neben dem Château. Zum Dinner saßen alle an zwei langen Tafeln, gedeckt mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Menü war außergewöhnlich und genau das Richtige für diesen Tag. Als Dessert gab es einen riesigen sommerlichen Obstkuchen, der perfekt zu diesem warmen Juliabend gepasst hat.
Poolparty in the Rain
Just as the first dance was about to begin, it started to rain heavily – but instead of moving the party indoors, the rain became part of the celebration. At some point, almost everyone had put on their swimsuits and jumped into the pool together. The atmosphere was like that among good friends: luxurious, stylish, but at the same time relaxed and familiar. DJ Paul provided the perfect soundtrack, and the evening was just as unforgettable as Edda & Darwin had hoped it would be.
Pünktlich zum First Dance hat es angefangen, stark zu regnen – und statt den Abend nach drinnen zu verlegen, wurde der Regen Teil der Feier. Irgendwann hatten fast alle ihre Badesachen an und sind gemeinsam in den Pool gesprungen. Die Stimmung war wie unter guten Freunden: luxuriös, stilvoll, aber gleichzeitig locker und familiär. DJ Paul hat den perfekten Soundtrack dazu geliefert und der Abend wurde genauso unvergesslich, wie Edda & Darwin es sich gewünscht hatten.

It was very special for us to accompany Edda & Darwin this weekend. A wedding that shows how unique it is when style, closeness, and personal values come together. A weekend full of love, friendship, and adventure—in the heart of Brittany, at the Château de Brossay.
Für uns war es etwas ganz Besonderes, Edda & Darwin an diesem Wochenende begleiten zu dürfen. Eine Hochzeit, die zeigt, wie einzigartig es ist, wenn Stil, Nähe und persönliche Werte zusammenkommen.
